Now totally renovated, Bailey Cottage, is situated in Gargrave residing on the very edge of the Yorkshire Dales. The River Aire and the Leeds and Liverpool Canal passing through the village.

A draining board in the kitchen would have been handy when you just wanted, for example, to swill out some mugs for later use rather than using the dishwasher. All rooms were very comfortable, the shower was very good with quality toiletries. Kitchen had everything one needed including tea and Nespresso coffee. A small amount of milk would have been nice on arrival though. Great free wifi and smart TV. Good communications with host, Lydia. Village was quiet and had a good Co-op. Bollywood Cottage, Mason Arms and The Frying Yorkshireman were all great for food. We were able to park our three motorcycles outside the cottage on the road and they were very safe. The cottage has been tastefully renovated to a very high standard, and it's a pleasure to stay there. Thank you for the flowers and fresh farm eggs waiting for us on arrival. ☹ The only thing I didn't like were the stained pillows.
